Manning Bowling Club John Hughes Ladies Autumn Gala Day 2019

 

A wonderful atmosphere of anticipation greeted 160 lawn bowlers from 25 clubs, including 4 country clubs, when they took part in the Manning Bowling Club’s John Hughes Ladies’ Autumn Gala Day on Friday April 5^th.

An army of Manning member volunteers carried out a myriad of tasks ; event planning, grounds preparation, venue setting up and superb catering which made the day a wonderful event for all.

The competition comprised a morning and afternoon game with teams of four challenging to win the day. The prize pool of over $1,000, generously donated by the major sponsor, John Hughes, was shared by the three overall winning teams plus am and pm winners.

Funds raised from the day will contribute towards improving the Club’s facilities, benefitting both the Club and the many Community Groups who frequent the Manning Bowling Club.

We are sure the Club’s Gala Day will be featured in everyone’s bowling diary for 2020.
