Wind-up – Community Bowls Jack Attack
The 6 week Summer 2020 Jack Attack competition has finished.
Here are some highlights from the season:
- There were 22 teams competing which was a 35% increase on our Pre Christmas 6 week Twilight bowls competition.
- A total of 80 – 100 bowlers participated over the 6 weeks
- 6 teams were new to Social Bowls
- The 11 sets of new bowls obtained through a grant from City of South Perth were a fantastic addition to our Community Bowls offer – feedback from all players was extremely positive.
- Kitchen meals and Bar takings both increased significantly over the 6 weeks of Jack Attack
- We have already received interest in playing pennant bowls from a number of participants plus two players have already played Midweek and/or Saturday pennants in 2020.
- Teams are largely community based – Workplace colleagues, Street/Neighbours, former local School friends, families and friends – Great community flavour
Congratulations to Bowling Stones for winning “Summer” Jack Attack 2020 who beat reigning premiers Lawn Clippings.
Congratulations to all other winners and to EVERY player who participated.
